Vacancy: Volunteer food truck at Buitenplaats de Tempel
Natuurmonumenten has been the manager of Buitenplaats De Tempel in Rotterdam since 2021. The Temple is the (as yet unknown) pearl of Rotterdam. Together with your fellow volunteers from the information desk, you welcome visitors to the country estate. You serve coffee, tea and cake from the counter of the food truck. Your “colleagues” at the information desk will tell you enthusiastically about the estate, the gardens and the history of De Tempel. The food truck is located near the orchard with old walnut and fruit trees and next to an old coach house from around 1850, can you imagine yourself standing there?

What does the function in the food truck entail?
You work according to a schedule and you are part of an enthusiastic team of volunteers. You are in the food truck during your shift. There you welcome the visitors and provide coffee, tea and pastries. You are supported by volunteers who are at the information desk. As a volunteer in the food truck, you contribute in preserving the beautiful nature and culture in the Netherlands and increasing the loyal support base of the foundation of Natuurmonumenten.
Your time-use:
- At least 6 times a year.
- On Sunday: you are scheduled from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM
- Preferably willing to fill in on a regular basis
- You compensate for your unworked shifts during holidays by working (a few) extra times when others are on holiday.
Your tasks
- Welcoming visitors to The Temple
- Providing coffee, tea and pastries
- You can make visitors extra happy with a voucher if they want to support nature through a membership
- Restocking of foodtruck
- Light cleaning work
- You build or dismantle the food truck and the information desk with fellow volunteers
- Payment of articles
